What's in your box

What's in your box

In your box you will find 4 Rimgard screws, 4 locking cylinders, 4 protective caps, a torx adaptor, a hex key, 2 sets of keys, a key card and a cap remover. Lay them out in the boot of your car to ensure a smooth and easy installation.

Remove cap and unlock cylinders

Remove cap and unlock cylinders

Remove the protective caps, unlock and remove the lock cylinders from all 4 of your Rimgard one screws.

Remove wheel bolts

Remove one wheel bolts from each wheel and place them in a safe place.

Put wheel bolts in a safe place. We recommend storing them in the box that your new Rimgard locks came in and keeping them in your car.

Pick up the torx adaptor

Fit Rimgard screws by hand

Pick up the torque

Pick up the torque

Tighten each screw to the torque

Tighten each screw to the torque specified in your vehicle owner's manual but no more than 160 Nm.

Insert lock cylinder

Insert lock cylinder in the open position turn the key 90° to the right to its locked position and remove the key.

Pick up the protective cap

Install protective cap

Press the protective caps onto the Rimgard One locks.

Use the cap remover to remove the protective cap.

Reminder NOTES

Store Hex key and adaptor in your vehicle. We recommend keeping it in the box you received your locks in.

Keep one key with your car key incase of an immediate need to remove the locks.

spare key and key card to be kept in a safe space away from the vehicle.
